JAPANESE TREE SINGERS ON MINAMIYAMA MOUNTAIN SERENADE WALKING TREEMAN

The forests of Minamiyama Mountain, on the outskirts of Tokyo are being destroyed by developers and the people don't like it - however, recognsing that past protests have failed to protect the mountain and that it's forests are now being chopped down, Team Pom Poko, the local group who want to save the mountain have now decided on a new approach - celebration. Celebrate the forests, celebrate the earth, bring people to the forests to show them its beauty and through this inspire them to positive action on behalf of the forests.

On May 2nd 2009 120 people, including earthwalker Paul Coleman, his wife Konomi Kikuchi, people from all over Tokyo, came to the woords to experience nature and the very special guest The Walking Treeman. Singing songs from the mountains were 'Miruku' who in this video serenade the WALKING TREEMAN.
