About Me:
Hello everyone,
I am Chinyere Marsh, a Nursing major in the Univeristy of District of Columbia. As a nursing major, recycling play a very important role in the healthcare facilities. Most people already know that recycling helps conserve natural resources but on the other hand, few knows that many healthcare facilities that rightly focus on patient care ,waste disposal has been "out of sight ,out of mind".The back door of healthcare facilities can teach you a lot, the sheer volume of waste can be jaw-dropping ,from constuction waste to food, packaging ,medicaton and mecury-contaminated materials . But ignoring waste is expensive because disposal fees, lost resources, energy cost and enviromental cost add up quickly. Recycling is one of the best ways for you to have a positive impact on the world in which we live, recycling is important to both natural enironment and us. We must act fast as the amount of waste we create is increasing every second.

Decline of Neatness

Dr Norman Cousins, a faculty member of the school of medicine in University of California wrote a very inspiring eassy about “The Decline of Neatness”. Decline of neatness is a very important issue we face in our society; it’s a very serious matter we face in every aspect of our life’s. “My purpose here is not to make a case for Victorian decorum or for Namby-Pambysim. The argument is directed to bad dress, bad manner, bad speech, and bad human relationship. The hope has to be that calculated sloppiness will run its course” (Cousins78). If you as ask a citizen of other countries to paint a portrait of the average American, it would look something like this: A faded jeans with printed T-shirt and a baseball hat. Manufactures don’t make it easy, the mass media market is defined by Juicy couture, pajamas as daywear mentality. The sloppiness virus has spread to all sector of society; People go to all sorts of trouble and expenses to look uncombed, unshaved, unpressed. (Cousins78)

As known vocabulary is the means to express our thought, emotion, desire, frustration and hopes. Today’s must common curse words have something to do with sexual function and sexual organs of men and woman. Charity they say begins at home, parent should raise their kid with morals because they are the next generation of the world. According to (Cousins78). Vocabulary, like blue jeans, is being drained of color and distinction. You can make a different, don’t be part of a problem be part of the solution to the problem. We as American citizens we need to make a change in our manner, speech and our human relationship but this is not to restore the countries reputation in the eyes of the world but because it represent the value American hold most dear. The United State was built of plain spoken people who took pride in the way they approached their self with professionalism and we need to bring that back.

Decline of neatness is also affection our environment, littering and dumping has become a major environment problem, the earth is not a trash can, and we can help get the earth clean by recycling. Recycling can help conserve natural resoures.

Photo Analysis
My photo collection is about recycling. Recycling is perhaps the most widely recognized concept in solid waste management; most people in our society have heard of recycling and generally know what the word means. Keeping our planet clean and safe is everyone’s duty. Recycling can be done everywhere, in school, jobs and home, my second photo shows how kids are taught to recycle in school, they are not to young to recycle. If you make a habit of reducing, reusing and recycling, u can make the world a better place ,so go for it protect our planet today and everyday.

This is a clip of ABC news, broadcasting Philadelphia sanitation workers promoting the importance of recycling. Recycling has become a universal goal for all cities and industries because it help save a lot of expenses, expenses include the entire production cycle starting from acquiring the raw materials, transferring them from their origin to production places. We should help by recycling in our own homes and spread the word to others.
