But surely the ozone layer is/was depleted by CFCs not CO2?

Global warming is inevitable.Human activities are the main cause of the global warming.We could reduce the carbon dioxide but cannot repair the dammage,cannot stop the increase of global warming.
How can plankton under the sea mend the hole in the ozone layer? They're a good long way from the stratosphere!

Phytoplankton is the primary level of the marine ecosystem. Zooplankton is as well a part of the plankton group but not a vegetal, it is part of the animalia kingdom.

I heard that plankton have a good impact on helping the ozone layer and there are scientists out at sea to increase the number of plankton to help reduce CO2 gasses which will over time shrink the hole in the ozone layer.
