- (1) Previously served as Hawaii's State Environmental Planning Coordinator where I developed both a Quality Growth Policy and a State Plan for Recycling and Resource Recovery for the State of Hawaii; (2) developed initial plan for the King Farm in Rockville, MD., perhaps the best example of new urbanism planning; (3) served as head of Technical Assistance for the Resource Recovery Division of the Office of Solid Waste Management of the U.S. EPA; (4) served on the Purchase of Development Rights (PDR) Board of Loudoun County, Virginia whose purchase was to acquire development rights to preserve open space in the county.

Tai Mei Er said… - Hi Rick, sorry I checked the wrong box in my profile page. No, I am not organising any event here in. Singapore. I care about the Earth and want to learn more. Nothing huge going on in Singapore, just some individuals/groups of people doing their bit to make a difference. I was attending a 2-full day course a couple of weekends ago, meals served were all vegetarian food. The organiser of the course is a vegetarian of 15 years. He went vegetarian because of global warming. Before the end of the course he ran a short video clips of the effects of global warming and tried to convert all of us to vegetarian. It was a good try, many of us are quite convinced.
