During time May half term, we began thinking of ways that we could help to look after our planet. We wrote a list of things we can start to do.

To start with we have started turning the lights off and using natural light where possible and making sure taps don’t drip.

One of our bigger projects involves us planting seeds, so we can grow our own herbs and vegetables. We then hope to use these in the meals we have at holiday club. If more people did this it would cut down on transport delivering… Continue

Importantly all ideas on how we should look after and protect our planet should be initiated from the child with the support of the adult. It is also crucial that ideas are integrated into every day education and are not simply one off events. With every activity carried out, it’s important for children to understand why they are doing something, and what effect it has on the planet.
