A seed within the soil
Recognizing a family to be filled with joy
Holding hands
Sharing morals
Is no longer contained within the soil
Pride and respect we are supposed to share
Respect for ourselves and the earth we no longer have
We break our souls
We break our morals
To be lost in the sea
Like underwater corals
But if we change the culture
And change it fast
We can rebuild a new earth
Strong and stead fast

KISS THE EARTH
Walk and touch peace every moment.
Walk and touch happiness every moment.
Each step brings a fresh breeze.
Each step makes a flower bloom.
Kiss the Earth with your feet.
Bring the Earth your love and happiness.
The Earth will be safe when we feel safe in ourselves.

Mother Nature
Beautiful as YOU are, beautiful is your color,

Green source of HOPE,

Mom, I need YOU,

I need YOU to remain Healthy for me,

Mom, help me Help YOU,

Mom, you make my life happy,

When YOU're green,

YOU're pure,

The smell of your breath fills my lungs,

And at that moment,

I know I am alive,

Mom, help me save my children.

Air pollution's a lot of gas
Droplets of acid or a mass
Of particles floating everywhere,
Stuff that messes up the air!

But, hey there, do you even care?
Are you ignorant or are you aware?
Are you prepared to do your part?
To fix this mess, where do we start?

Should we have to breathe the stuff
That cars and buses huff and puff
And smell the stink of diesel oil?
It makes my temper start to boil!

Do you want to ride a bike
Or, even better, take a hike
Cuz when you use your own two feet
To move yourself the air stays sweet

Remember that your car can pass
A bunch of smelly, poison gas
So if you're going not too far
Take a walk, don't drive the car.

Have you not heard ?
when it was made
behold it was very good
What Happened?

Let Us make man, He said
Let Us give him Dominion, He said
over the Earth and everything in it
What happened?

Have you not heard . . . ?
Its Your reponsibility to Keep to nurture it
You the steward, made Creation complete
But what happened?

He still trusts you with His will
Thats why He made a way back
Come back and dress it, and keep it
TAKE RESPONSIBILITY!!!

What Makes Her Beautiful Makes Her Ugly!!!!

The calmness and beauty she brings after she cries... the beauty of her natural shapes and the sweetness in her colors are what makes her BEAUTIFUL...

The tone in her voice when she gets angry... her unpredictiable moves or the terror she brings when shes mad... makes her BEAUTIFUL....

Pollituion in the air the foul smell is unfair...Makes her UGLY.... Its sad to see when theres trash every where, its becoming very clear that no one even cares and it ....Makes her UGLY!!!

BE APART SAVE THE EARTH!!!

Recycling
We need to work hard on different ways of recycling
It is important to separate glass from paper,
as it is plastic from tin.
Always recycle to the best of your ability
It is important not to go about wasting,
Thinking it wasn't that expensive anyway
instead we should be frugal.
Do our part.

Taking care of our environment should be our task
We should recycle in the hope of a cleaner tomorrow.
Recycling is important to natural environment
Recycling is important for tomorrow's generation
When you recycle you save energy as well as money
Recycling reduces pollution
Recycling also saves our natural resources
Do your part.

The Power of We

If it is to be
It is up to we
To pull together
In our time of need
We have begun the chaos
Through polluting and littering
And let’s not forget the excessive spending
If change is to happen let it start let it start with us
So enough with the I and enough with the me
It is only possible
Through the power of we

The use of Green Power electricity is a very good way to help stop the major harm that is being done to the earth and also try to stop or even reduce the effects of global warming. Green Power is electricity generated from environmentally preferable, renewable resources such as: solar, wind, geothermal, low impact bio mass and high impact hydro resources. According to the EPA many organizations today are encouraged to purchase green power as a way to reduce the environmental impacts associated with conventional electricity use. In the world today people have to make important decisions on many things and one major decision is being able to live in a clean, green and safe environment.

What would She say?

What would the Earth say to the hate and abuse,
Which we proudly call our past and our glorious deeds?
What would she burst from the chest full of bruises,
As an answer to things that we did for our needs?

She would smile through the pain and clear tears,
Streaming down her wide face as the rivers we see.
She would call us beloved ones, embrace us as dears,
And forgive our sins, what a shame! Look at you, look at me?!

Poem: Inhale Exhale
The first emanation from the darkness of mother space
Her breath is of the soul
She is home to billions of species including humans
She is every man, woman and child
She is the first teacher of civilization
In her womb lies Agriculture and culture
The basic element of every civilization is a byproduct of her wisdom
She is the giver and sustainer of basic tenant of life
Through the chemistry of science she gives off oxygen to mammals, plants
And the forest acknowledge her allure by furnishing and creating carbon dioxide within her embodiment
In order to embrace and feel her energy ones must fill their lungs with love
Inhale Exhale
She showers our green pastures with milk and honey
Yet we threat her earthly visage and flesh with weapons of mass destruction
Inhale Exhale
Poising the air, waters and oasis
The ocean kingdom is gasping for life while being chocked with toxic waste
Air pollution industrial revolution causing the inner city children asthmatic attack
How can she survive the city soiling and distress?
Inhale Exhale
Killing of the rain forest, utilizing brute physical force to
Undermine other species to the brink of existence
Man declares survey-enjoy her fruitful land mass, minerals and beauty
And yet we end her joy
Inhale Exhale
She is on the threshold of losing faith in our ability to protect her
She is sitting around waiting for death
Inhale Exhale
There is a greater purpose in the world and its begins with her
We gotta do something before she dies
Who is to save her me or you?
Inhale Exhale

Mother Earth
By Arsene Mevo

Where is the pollution going,
Where is the garbage growing,
Where is the carbon gone,
Where is the waste thrown.

Mother earth forgive us humans,
We are destroying you like mutants.

Making a change can save us.
We must begin today.
Being aware can cure you.
There is no time to delay.
What about all off us.
Mother Earth needs us to pray.

Mother earth,
Give us the good earth we were born on,
Give us the sunshine the grass and the trees,
Give us the open skies that we can dream on,
Give us the flowers, the birds and the bees.

Professor Irvin,
This is how my poem should read. This will be my final draft.

Untitled
I was once the envy of the universe
a sight to behold
magnifience's that could not be defined
worth more than my weight in gold

Colors so vibrant
sky pristine and clear
royal and calm my colors of blue
greens of emerald
natural true
nutrients abundant
forthcoming was I
never once mistrusting
never did I deny

My children were many
exceptional
unique
my beauty could not sustain them
it was not for keeps
they plundered
& took
& used
I can give no more
I am withered
worn
a mother scorned

I will teach them
so they never forget
to exploit me
disasterous
misuse
detriment

I will not tolerate
no longer will I be still
For I know what to do
Heed my words
or overlook
I have only begun

They must know
to love
respect me
be loyal
true
for this is only the beginning
the end
I have much more to do

Too Busy to Notice (edited)
by Sean Fuller

I wake up, get dress and drive off in my car, get to work right on time and started making that money of mine.
It’s about lunch so I rise, go get some food at the take out, I get back to work and start keeping watch of the time, can’t wait till that clock strikes 5 so I can call it a day.
I get back home, watch some TV and surf the web, maybe drink some tea, make one of those microware dinners and then turn in for the night.
That is my typical day, except for on the weekends, just telling myself that I’m too busy to notice much of what is going on around me.
So as I go on by, not paying too much attention to my surroundings, not seeing what I do does affect the people that are around me. From my car which burns too much gas and gives off way too much diesel emissions, to ordering take out which contributes to growing landfills that my waste is helping to fill. From my house to my car, from my car to work and all the way home again I contribute to a problem that I don’t even seem to notice.
The Planet Earth is one of a kind no matter what scientists discover, Planet Earth will always be our home and until me, myself and I as well as the other me, myself and I that lives and breathes around me realize that there is no I in team because it will only that a team effort to help solve this problem but until we solve the me, myself and I problem the world’s demise will go unnoticed. So until we find the team that lies’s inside the me, myself and I, I will be too busy to notice why our planet is dying.

“You Don’t Miss Your Water…”
by Darryl Jackson

You don’t miss your water
at least not yet...

You don’t miss your water,
hard is it. however, we must ascertain

You don’t miss your water, it’s not hard with calcium,
it’s poisoned with acid rain.

You won’t miss your water
until the unthinkable

You won’t miss your water
until it’s no longer drinkable

You don’t miss your water
The spring water we drink is overrated

You don’t miss your water
The tap that we drink from has become dilapidated

You won’t miss your water
The well is not dry ~ it’s contaminated

Contaminated with poisons that invade
and cause not only our waters to wade
but causes our trees, plants, flowers and wild life to fade

You won’t miss your water
until our entire supply has become antiquated

No, you won’t miss your water
until it’s time to drink.

What is evident is that on these premises
we have an obligation to act, remaining conscious
lest we forget.

The Earth

They say she is mad
She is taking the sun
They don’t see, she is sad
The end has begun

They have taken her for granted
They have lost their respect
The destructive seed has been planted
Now we can see, it is very direct

Blaming her for the damage
They don’t see the truth
That they are the ones
That have pulled the tooth

Causing pain and fear
They revealed her skin
The air that once was clear
Will now be a sin

They have produced many pollutants
Causing glaciers to melt
They are acting like mutants
Now, the cards have been dealt

She is crying her wounds out
Asking for peace
But they don’t hear her shout
And keep acting like beasts
