About Me:
I call myself an Ecopreneur, someone who connects business to nature conservation projects. That really means connecting people with plants and animals.

We are part of an environmental education project called Ark Eden on Lantau (www.arkedenonlantau.com) that currently focuses on bring classes of school children out into a small rural community on Lantau Island in Hong Kong to "get dirty". By get dirty I mean touch a plant or an animal.

I love speaking to people (kids and adults) about how they can support nature.

Good morning

I decided that I must do something for the Earth, instead of waiting for somebody else to act.

If you think the same, and want to do something you can do it now.

Please read the information below and if you decide to do it, go ahead. Start now in the way you think it could be done in your hometown.

Hi Merrin: Thanks for the comment on our video of the Walking Treeman planting trees with the National Forestry Ministry and local officials. It is always a joy to show a side that the rest of the wrold rarely sees. We have more great videos coming soon, featuring a great and very funny interview with the Treeman and Tentsuke Man, the famous Japanese Comedian who we planted trees with recently in the deserts of Inner Mongolia.

woops - I accidentally put it on my own blog, here ya go --

Thanks man, I took it at a place in Albany CA, right next to Berkeley. It was once a landfill many many years ago and is now a park where artist have taken misc. pieces of "trash" - cement, metal, wood, wire, etc... and made sculptures and artwork all over the place. Plus, painters go out there and paint incredible pieces of art on cement walls, pices of wood etc. People take their dogs and just let them run around.. etc.. its a great little place, I go there to write songs and hang out, meet the artist and so forth..The "goddess of the bulb" statue was made by this amazing guy thats a lawyer in Berkeley named Osha Newmann. You can see a really cool video of him and his sidekick which includes them actually making this stautue and more... hope you enjoy : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6V50CVAuqAA

Hi Dr Merrin,
The photos are very nice. The rainbow makes the world to seem different, better I think. Where do you live? I like New Zealand, but I never was there.
