“You Don’t Miss Your Water…”
by Darryl Jackson

You don’t miss your water
at least not yet...

You don’t miss your water,
hard is it. however, we must ascertain

You don’t miss your water; it’s not hard with calcium,
it’s poisoned with acid rain.

You won’t miss your water
until the unthinkable

You won’t miss your water
until it’s no longer drinkable

You don’t miss your water
The spring water we drink is overrated

You don’t miss your water
The tap that we drink from has become dilapidated

You won’t miss your water
The well is not dry ~ it’s contaminated

Contaminated with poisons that invade
and cause not only our waters to wade
but causes our trees, plants, flowers and wild life to fade

You won’t miss your water
until our entire supply has become antiquated

No, you won’t miss your water
until it’s time to drink.

What is evident is that on these premises
we have an obligation to act, remaining conscious
lest we forget.

Going Green...

Lately we have been doing nothing but recycling!! Well, that's not totally true, we've been trying to do our part -as of late - as new members of a growing campaign to save our earth. We are in support of, and are trying to do our part in creating a clean and more natural environment for ourselves and for others through awareness and education. We want our children, their children, and those they leave behind, to live in an environment free of toxic gases that emanate from sick buildings, toxic w… Continue

Hi Daryl:
Thanks for joining Celebration Earth. As an architect you might be interested in the home we're going to build in patagonia, Chile - our goal is to make it an environmental showcase for sustainability.
Go well

In examining the images in the video “Earth Day”, by Lisa Lomas and Anthony Hosking, Initially what is apparent is the natural beauty of our planet with wild life, waterfalls, birds singing in the distance and the trees full with the fruit that is unique to them. Before the creation of mechanisms meant to mass produce products and services for human consumption, our planet reflected life as it was intended natural and full of life sustaining substances. It is clear that we have, instead of creating an environment that supports and sustains life; created one with monsters of mass pollution that poison and destroy life.

The film also depicts the suffering of our most vulnerable creatures; their natural habitat destroyed by the way we dispose of our waste. Fossil fuels or its residue responsible for polluting not only the air but the waters that we depend on for nourishment.... Life here on Earth can be a pleasant one despite these disparaging images. As long as we are able to recognize our mistakes we can do something about them. It will take the effort of each and every one of us to make the change. But we have to act now, immediately to right the wrong that we have caused ourselves, our wildlife, and our Planet.

It starts with you and me. Today!!
