I am happy to be a part of the movement to save Minamiyama. It's a beautiful place a world apart from what the Governor claims is 'A Devil's Mountain that eats children!'

I have meet Paul and Konomi in Hong Kong where I live. Actually they are currently resting in our little village on Lantau Island. They said you are heading to China to walk with them. It would be great to have you stop off in Hong Kong if your flights allow. I am involved with a number of environmental groups and would love to have the chance of seeing Hong Kong people's reaction to your presence.

Burnt Akagi Tree-site of 2004 US Military Helicopter crash on University grounds in Ginowan City, Okinawa
At 2;20 on August 13 2004 a US Military Helicopter crashed on University grounds in Ginowan City, Okinawa.
Grazing an administration Building it crashed into a young Akagi Tree. Miraculouly there were no casualties on the ground and four soldiers aboard suffered minor injuries.

Walking Treeman visits the Chatan School in Naha, Okinawa
The Walking Treeman visited the Chatan School in Naha, Okinawa last spring. Along with his friends Earthwalker Paul Coleman( giving a talk on earth walking) Konomi (Translating) Yugi (giving a talk on his earthwalking plans) Ocean and Gari (tree herders).
The children were very excited to see the Treeman and were encouraged to ask many questions by the "reward" of shaking the Treeman's hand after the answer was given.
