By the way, our website - which is very new and basic at this point - is www.blacksingreen.org. Last night we launched our Global Registry and soon will begin posting photos and contact information about "blacks-in-green" in our network.

Please let me know if you know any "BIG's" (blacks-in-green) in your area.

Thanks,
Nae

I am new to this media and don't have much idea about how to best use it. I'm not sure how I got on your radar screen. How did you find me? What had you contact me.

My friend here in Chicago, Raj Rajaram is my closest contact to your continent. He is an expert in water and has worked on the deep tunnel here in Chicago. He works to stay connected with India with philanthropic projects and enviro-educational outreach. He is a sweet, smart, dedicated man. My organization, BIG: Blacks in Green is wishing to connect the African diaspora and in linking help us leverage our resources and create a new generation of green leaders. BIG was born to remind new generations of our great cultural legacy - which is our great stewardship of the land - and to reinvent that legacy in the age of climate change. We understand that our heritage has touched all continents and we wish to build a global BIG network.

What do you think about that? How can you help?

We produced our first Urban Earth Day this year on April 22nd and participated in the Earth Day festivities at Percy Julian High School, which is how I connected with this Earth Day organization. Our goal is to have BIG Earth Day events all over the world, underscoring the contribution of blacks to the movement and to future thinking.

Thanks,
Naomi Davis/Chicago

Dear Aditya,
As a member of EDN, I am interested to interact with people striving to save the Mother Nature, particularly those who are operating in India. I am placed at Bhopal, and I have visited many institutes to deliver lectures on this issue.
I visited your website, its cool.
Please tell me about yourself, and the work being done in your area.
Sanjay
