I started an initiative some time ago called Help From Home that features little volunteer actions that can all be performed from the comfort of your own home... whilst still dressed in your pyjamas. These actions will take no more than 30 minutes...
We reduced our plastic use, recycling and saved money. How? We now only buy frozen fruit juices (less expensive). It doesn't completely eliminate plastic but the containers are SO much smaller and it only takes a couple of minutes to make... well...
I don't know why our state government continues to drive our state back to the Stone Age. My beef is with the Florida State Government. I've known about this for quite awhile but something will just set me off again… like watching empty plastic ba...
I'm waging a personal war with plastic! It is such a ridiculous thing to waste, especially when you see all the chemicals that leach out into our environment, drinking water, and the soil our food is grown in! Thanks; I'll take my food sans poison...
Share ideas or thoughts on how to make going green easier or just making LIFE easier. Going green doesn't mean having to sell all your "Stuff" or live in a hut. It does mean being more socially, enviromentally and economically responsible.

Actually I'm hopeful for the economy - my little book had a better than average month over December sales wise. Of course it's not about the sales it's about the readers. I tell everyone to go to their local library and request a copy of Journey Home. In February I'm going to order twenty from the publisher (I get a slight discount but still get charged) and hand them out to some of the folks who come see/listen to me play the guitar.

Green Silly Season
Our family has decided to do Green Silly Season this holiday. Funny cards or homemade cards and a recycled gift that is in "New" condition or handmade item or a small token gift (if they feel it's necessary to purchase a gift but must be under $10).
