Should I post to the Forum, or start a new Blog?

What's the difference between a forum and a blog? The short answer (in my opinion) is a forum is a place for people to discuss a question or issue, and a blog is a place for you to make a statement. In other words, before you start a forum or blog, ask yourself this question: Do I have a question, or would I like to make a statement or announce or promote something?

If you have a question, start a forum. If you want to make a statement or announce or promote something, start a blog. You can do both here.

Either way, rest assured, people will have a chance to respond to what you post. Happy posting!

I like that "definition" or distinction between the forum and your personal blog. It's simple and makes good sense. I have a question for you. What are the goals of this group? Are there any formal ones? In terms of membership or activities? I know that there are a number of small groups here with different goals, but I'm curious about the major group goals. Maybe we could have a forum for that to decide on worthy goals for the entire group. Also is there an official Earth Day Network Blog done by the administrators?
